He said the most important thing he learned was that just coming up with the idea for a good product doesn't guarantee that it will sell. You need capital to promote the product and you need to have a way to distribute your product.
He said he would rather have taken the money he got from his parents as a loan and invest it in starting up a business or something like that. It would be kind of more reliable.
Looking back on the first interview I had with Jeff he has seen how hard it is to start a business and I can learn from talking with him. In this class I have gotten more comfortable with talking with people. Before I would keep to myself and I planed on just getting a job where I'm in a cubical but now I am looking for a job with more human interaction.
Will,
ReplyDeleteI think it is definitely okay that you weren't able to record your interview. I was not able to record mine either! It's great that you still got the answers you needed to complete this assignment! I like what Mr. Groveman said about "coming up with the idea for a good product doesn't guarantee that it well sell." This stood out to me because I believe he is absolutely right! Yes, confidence is always a good thing, but you have to be aware that there will be obstacles along the way. Great work!

Will,
ReplyDeleteThis a great interview. If you ever feel like seeing a great movie that would relate to your future life I would watch Wanted. Alittle old but basically this guy becomes a sort of entrepreneur if you think about it. He gets to travel the world and becomes very social and he is also a grade A assassin. Either way you should check out my blog.
