Since my first elevator pitch not much has changed. Most of the feedback I received was just people telling me its a good idea. One person did suggest that Publix might already offer my idea, but I searched into it and they do not offer it here in Gainesville. Here is my second pitch, I hope you enjoy it.
Will, Great pitch! It is really exciting that you've gotten a lot of positive feedback. I think it is so important for entrepreneurs to consider feedback on their products prior to launching them to ensure that they are successful. You can see my pitch here: http://katieshirley.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2.html
Nice pitch! I thought it was smart of you to include how having someone grocery shop for you will prevent people from going to more convenient and unhealthy places such as McDonalds. However, I do not think there is much of a market for this product in Gainesville because most students are cheap. I know I find myself having no time for grocery shopping but if I had to pay someone to do it for me, I would rather just go myself. However, I know people like my mom would be your first customer! Check out my idea at I think you have a great idea! Trading textbooks would allow students to save so much more money than they would spend buying or renting one. I also like that it allows you to interact with people who have taken the course, who could probably offer some helpful tips as well. It made me curious though, would the people trading the textbooks pay for the shipping to the person receiving it or would they pay a website use fee that would include shipping of the books? Hey Will! I really enjoyed your post and think that you did a great job on your pitch. You and I actually have the same idea. That is really funny, but I support your idea and think it is a great one! If you have some time be sure to check out my blog! http://biglilcut.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2.html
Like I said in another video, the only problem I can see with your business is that it already exists. I forget the exact name of the company, but my aunt uses it on a regular basis to get her groceries delivered to her every week. Also, I think you should go more in-depth on the idea like how much it costs, where it will be located, etc. I definitely think this idea can be successful, I just think you need some more stuff to make it stand out. Here’s a link to my blog if you want to check it out. http://nkent3003.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2.html
