- The opportunity I thought of would be having a service go to a grocery store and buy your food and deliver it.
- Anyone who does not like shopping or does not have a mode of transportation will have this problem.
- The questions I came up with were: How often do you go grocery shopping? Do you find it difficult/annoying or time-wasting to go to Publix and buy your food? Would you pay someone to go to Publix and buy your food for you?
- I spoke with 5 different people at one of my friends parties (he had a big party and I did not know the people). I videotaped them, but they contacted me Sunday and said that they do not want to posted online drunk (they were fine when I asked them and I assumed they wouldn't care the next day, but you know what happens when you assume).
- I think the opportunity exists for this service to be made, or at least according to the drunk college kids it does. The main consensus was that if it was for the right price they would pay someone to go shopping for them.
- Well I learned a camera attracts a bunch of drunk people and they might mess up your project the next day by not allowing you to post the video. I know I am the one fully at fault because I should have not interviewed intoxicated people, but that was the most convenient time for me to interview and it is also a great way to talk to girls. It is also really nerve racking to be recording and interviewing potential customers, it might be easier for me to go to a library and try to ask groups of people the questions next time.
The results of the interviewing questions (each number will be a different person, and I will put a / between each of the answers. The questions were: Hey how are you, I'm doing a school project where I have to interview people about a potential problem do you mind if I record you and ask you some questions (they all said yes)? How often do you go grocery shopping? Do you find it difficult/annoying or time-wasting to go to Publix and buy your food? Would you pay someone to go to Publix and buy your food for you?
- About twice a week/ Yes, it is always busy/ If it was cheap
- Everyday because I live less than a quarter mile from Publix/ No, I just go before 4 or after 7/ There is no need
- Once a week/ Yes it's busy and I have to get a ride from my friend/ Yes
- Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday or Sunday/ I find it relaxing and I get to take a break from life/ Depending on the price
- Once a week/ Yes, but I put up with it/ That would be a great idea!!
Will your idea sounds very good! I'm sorry that your project didn't work. I would suggest to go to a place you usually hang out and ask people there. It wasn't a good idea to go to a party and do it while people were drunk. However, is good that you recorded them and kept theirs answers. You could probably ask more about their experience and what bothers them the most when going for shopping at Publix. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHey will,
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like an awesome idea. I would totally pay more money to have someone buy my groceries for me. My post also deals with food, and I think it's interesting how so much of our lives as college students revolves around eating. Did you have anything you were going to do differently in your next interviews? I don't know if just typing out their responses is the most effective way to transfer responses to potential investors or people you want to get your ideas across too.
